According to the Director General of the Quarantine and Biosecurity Office of the Veterinary Organization of the country; Iran is one of the countries that has resident health inspectors in 11 red meat exporting countries. Now Iran cooperates with some slaughterhouses in Brazil. If any of them face a problem, Iran will stop importing from these slaughterhouses. For example, a few months ago, due to a problem in the cooling system of one of the slaughterhouses on the contract with Iran, the purchase from it was stopped.
Meat import from Mongolia
Another country that exports meat to Iran is Mongolia. This country exported about 4 thousand tons of meat to Iran in its first shipment. According to the announcements of the Mongolian authorities, this country can export 100 thousand tons of meat annually.
Due to the Islamic nature of our country, meat is imported only from countries and factories that guarantee Islamic slaughter. Mongolia is one of the countries that produce a lot of meat. Currently, it has factories with halal meat production lines and is equipped with the latest world technology for meat processing. As a result, importing meat from Mongolia will be on the future agenda of Iranian businessmen to compensate for the lack of meat in Iran.
